Long Weekend in Athens and Athens Riviera

Following the Greek Approach to Slow Living – Discover the hidden gems of Attica Land.
About the Weekend
Experience a long weekend in Athens’s downtown and Athens Riviera at a leisurely pace. In Athens we explore the city's beautiful neighborhoods and landmarks while embracing the principles of slow living. We'll take relaxing walks and immerse ourselves in the local culture, learning the stories behind each place we visit through Cultural Laboratory, our learning experience.
We travel along the Athenian coast and become part of the seaside life. The Athenian Riviera is located just 30 minutes from the center of Athens. It is a 70-kilometer coastline that starts from the port of Piraeus and reaches the Cape of Sounion. It serves as a natural extension of the city towards the sea and is a recreational area for the residents of Attica.
During our trip:
The capital of Greece, Athens, is renowned for its rich history dating back to antiquity and its impressive monuments. In Athens, the old and the new coexist harmoniously, creating a vibrant atmosphere for both locals and visitors. The city has remained in the same location with the same name for centuries. We explore the modern face of the capital.
A day trip takes us to the Athenian Riviera, passing by the sea and crossing beautiful beaches, picturesque harbors, and small settlements on the way to Cape Sounion. Cape Sounion and the impressive Temple of Poseidon are situated at the southern tip of Attica, offering a stunning view of the Aegean Sea. We visit small towns by the sea and the impressive lake of Vouliagmeni, nestled among the surrounding rocks.
We explore the old city of Athens, including the historic districts of Plaka and Monastiraki. During our visit, we stop by the Museum of Modern Greek Culture, which has reconstructed an entire neighborhood of Old Athens, specifically the lost district of Vrysaki.
Cultural Laboratory – What is it?
