Day 1- Monday, 20.10.2025
Meeting at the entrance of Oia village. Our origins there will allow us to access some places off the tourist route! Visit an extraordinary traditional family house and enjoy the view.
Laboratory: Introduction: What is the Greek Way of Slow Living? What is the daily life of the inhabitants like? The crucial role of women in the society of the island. Living with volcanoes and earthquakes. Storytelling from the past!
Walk on to the famous marble market main street and admire the caldera, the special architecture of the village, and the view of Therasia island. Enjoy nice storytelling. Visit the small church of Saint Eleftherios.
Visit the Naval Maritime Museum and learn about the Greek maritime traditions.
Free time to enjoy this unique place.
Enjoy our community dinner in an old, traditional ex-house tavern full of daily local tools and stories to tell.
Day 2 – Tuesday, 21.10.2025
Laboratory: How’s life off-season? The social life, especially the meaning of veggera, exchanging stories, the vital role of fiesta, the so-called “panigiria,” the combination of drinks, appetizers (meze) accompanied by local music, and the similarities with the ancient Greek symposium!

Enjoy a community dinner at a local tavern with traditional food.
DAY 3 – Wednesday, 22.10.2025
Meet at Fira and enjoy the caldera view. Share stories about buildings and paths around us.
Laboratory: The vineyards and the production of wine. Cultural and economic dimension. The island's economy is influenced by the volcano, the sea, and special climatic conditions, which shape its unique local products.
Free time to walk around.
Visit the Museum of Prehistoric Thera.
Enjoy our community dinner and wine tasting at one of the island's wineries with a breathtaking view of the sunset over the caldera.
DAY 4 – Thursday, 23.10.2025
Laboratory: We are discussing Ancient Thera and its intriguing history, including the myth of the Lost Atlantis.
Drive to the Akrotiri archaeological site and tour the fascinating ancient city.
